History of Building Project Progress
In summer of 2008 the Clarion Forest VNA made its first public announcement of plans to build a new facility and the capital campaign that was being undertaken to help fund the project. In the fall the Board of Directors announced that the purchase of the land was completed. The new facility will be located on a two acre tract of land immediately behind West Penn Orthopedics on Perkins Road, near Clarion Hospital. The capital campaign has brought in almost $650,000 in pledges and contributions to date.
In the spring of 2009 the Board of Directors hired a construction manager in hopes of breaking ground in early autumn. A USDA loan was applied for and was in the final phase of the approval process.
Grounbreaking ceremony was held on April 15, 2010.
Jill Over , CEO, stated "We would like to thank everyone who is helping to make this project a reality, especially in these tough economic times. We are proud to tell you that, within our organization (Board and staff) we have shown our committment to the project by pledging/donating $142,739 ourselves".
