Clarion Forest Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is a Medicare certified, community based, non-profit organization committed to providing healthcare to clients in their homes.

The VNA has been a pioneer in home healthcare in Clarion County since July 1973 and in Forest County since 1979, continually growing to meet the community’s needs for in home skilled care.

Our staff of caring professionals work closely with your physician to administer quality care to meet the needs of each individual.

The Clarion Forest VNA has always believed that the emotional and physical wellbeing of the patient is enhanced by the patient being able to recuperate in the familiar surroundings of home.

In 2007, the Clarion Forest VNA, Inc. operated within a budget of $3.9 million and provided services to 1,193 patients.  The staff of nurses and other healthcare professionals provided home healthcare to 1,061 patients and made 17,676 home health visits traveling over 275,900 miles.  Of the 17,676 home health visits 77.6% were traditional Medicare, 11.2% Blue Cross, 2.9% Medical Assistance, 8% other insurances, and less than one percent were to self pay patients.

The hospice professional staff provided over 10,800 days of care to 132 patients traveling over 143,300 miles in 2007.  The breakdown by payer source for hospice days of care was as follows; 91.7% Medicare, 3.6% Medical Assistance, 2.7% Blue Cross, and 2% for other sources of reimbursement.

Clarion Forest VNA, Inc. in 2007 received $4,000 from townships in Clarion and Forest Counties. The United Way contributed over $18,000 to sponsor the bereavement program and Hospice House.  Community members also contributed $1,500 towards Hospice House.   The Clarion Forest VNA Foundation also supports Hospice House through its annual golf outing. 

Because of early discharges from hospitals and the aging population, Clarion Forest VNA has seen a rapid growth in its services.  Anticipating continued growth, it is imperative that the VNA acquire larger administrative and clinical facilities.
