2008 Memorial Service
Rev. Randy L Evans
Hospice Chaplain
Clarion Forest VNA will hold its 13th Annual Interfaith Memorial Service on November 6, 2008. This time of remembering and sharing will take place at the First United Methodist Church, 600 Wood Street, Clarion, PA at 7:00 P.M.
The service offers a warm and thoughtful tribute to loved ones who have gone before us and remain so close to our hearts. The evening events feature music, readings, and a memorial message intended to provide a sense of comfort and peace. Our staff remembers your loved ones by reading their names aloud as a candle is lit in memory of them. This will be followed by refreshments and a time of heartfelt fellowship.
We gather at these services to remember how loved ones touched our lives. In addition, we consider our own mortality and what life means for us, the living. As C.S. Lewis once wrote, “Grief and pain are the price we humans have to pay for the love and total commitment we have for another person. The more we love, the more we hurt when we lose the object of our love. But if we are honest with ourselves, would we have it any other way?”
